Happy Birthday Wy Wy!

Once the girls were dressed in their Beaver Best, it was time to head off to Wyatt's first birthday extravaganza. Ashley was so excited to go to Aunt Katie's house and spend the afternoon with her favorite guy that she started asking when it was time to leave 5 hours before the party even started.
Talk about 1 amped up Midget!

Before the party Ashley (completely on her own) wrapped the present she and Natalie had picked out for their guy - look closely and you can even see that she wrote his name 'Wyatt Lee'

Boy oh boy did I have fun getting the girls ready for Wyatt's first birthday party. Since it was football themed, what better reason did I need than to dress the girls up in their Beaver finest?
Alright, that's not entirely true. Truth be told, they didn't have any acceptable Beavs gear for the party, so I was *forced* to go shopping.
And when I say forced we all know I mean I was just using it as an excuse to hit the mall.
But that's just semantics, right?
Brace yourselves, folks, because the cutest that is about to take over your screen is almost too much to handle.

Mini playtime

If there's 1 thing the mini's have taught me, it's how to have fun.
And how to use my imagination.
It's not uncommon for them to be quietly (or as quietly as two monsters can be) watching a movie one minute then playing robot, domination (don't ask, I haven't even figured this one out yet) or nakey-nakey (exactly as it sounds - you strip down naked and run in circles) the next.
Our days are *never* dull.
Or left without entertainment.

The party has arrived

I'm not entirely sure exactly what was going on. There was a lot of food, some alcohol, incredibly awkward dancers and at one point, a chariot. Perhaps these are all common sights at a Shrine installation? Or did they pull out all the stops this time around since it was the first one we'd ever attended?
Either way, we came, we conquered and we were the life of the party.
