Bring your midget to work day

Once or so a week Ashley and I head out to Jake's work site just to see how things are progressing (and maybe get in the way if we can). It's been nice having Jake's job be so close to home that we've been taking full advantage of having him near by.
As always it's fun watching Ashley take it all in, and I know the day will come soon enough where she's the one wanting to climb the ladders, run the saw and boss the crew around. But for now I'll just chase her around and keep her out of trouble the best that I can, because Lord knows that's a full-time job!

She's looking better every single day
Up...
...up...
...and AWAY! Thanks for the lift Uncle Isaiah
Bouncy! Bouncy! Bouncy!
Alright crew, go ahead and take 5

Flower power

One of the trips we took while Shawna was in town was to the Swan Island Dahlia Fields. Oh.my.goodness. You've never seen (or imagined!) so many flowers! So many colors! So many shapes! So many sizes! Of course I have every intention of having dahlia beds like these next year - a girl can dream can't she?

Too pretty
Makes me want to eat sherbet Flower children We even had a surprise birthday party for Aunt Sandi - cake courtesy of Aunt Deb All a girl needs is her daddy Waiting my turn for a dragonfly balloon No cussing, Two-Nana, or else your dragonfly will sew your lips shut Listening to my little sister These are pretty, but Mommy says I'm prettier Aunties A & Shawnaynay - the craziest of the crazies Maybe Mommy's dahlia beds will look like this next year...I doubt it... Big surprise that I enjoyed running wild at the farm Run, don't walk, to your nearest midget Bahama Mama's I love my family Cheese! Aunt Shawnaynay's first ferry ride Ferry Princesses

Some things never change

As is proven by these pictures...

Drinking buddies
Introducing me to the pounders at an early age

Who says you can't go home?

No matter how grown up we get, how far away we move or how independent we become, there's nothing better than going home.

If you think I look silly, you should see Grandpa in it
It's a good look, don't you think?
Aunt Shawnaynay even taught me to play (although some may classify it as pounding)

Ooh! Wus tha?
Adorable woodland creature

Watch out world....

...the crazies are united once again!
The blog has been scarce lately since my very bestest bestie and little sister, Shawna, has been in town visiting. It was a whirlwind 7 days filled with all sorts of unhealthy foods, shopping trips, laughs, a few tears and even 1 unplanned visit to Labor & Delivery (although I hardly remember this...). It was so refreshing to have Shawna 'back' and even more painful to drop her off at the airport yesterday afternoon. But knowing she'll be back in a few months for the birth of EB2 kept me from smuggling my pregnant self into her suitcase...

Waited a long time for this squeeze
Can't hide the smiles
Skinny biatches
...and I say that with all the love in my heart...

Still growing strong

Earlier this week I had my monthly doctor's appointment to check up on the growth of myself and little EB2. We're happy to announce that things are on track to deliver a healthy and happy baby the beginning of December (or sooner if we can coax her out). I'll have to go back in 2 weeks for the dreaded gestational diabetes test where I 'get' to drink that yummy glucose crap. Er, uh I mean solution. Assuming I pass (and why shouldn't I?!), I'm not due for another check up for another month. So just keep growing and going EB2. We're excited to meet you, but can wait until you're fully cooked!
