Another pumpkin adventure

We picked just about the only nice day in October to visit the pumpkin patch. It wasn't exactly the best weather, but it wasn't raining and that was good enough for us. Too bad it was the same day as the Zombie Run at the pumpkin patch. In addition to a few extra hundred folks milling about, some of them were in some seriously grotesque costumes that made for good times when it came to explaining their get-ups to the minis.
Despite the zombie freaks, a good time was still had by all. Even by yours truly who got to maneuver and breast feed Keely while on a hay ride. Never thought I'd be doing that in the hay. I thought it was for rolling around in??! I guess maybe I wouldn't have had to feed my baby had I not been rolling about, huh?

Yaaaaay!
 The great hunt
Taking the smallest one out to see what we can find
 Ashley's pick
Both minis got to pick out minis
 Love him. Period.
 Melt.my.heart
 The cheesiest
 Grinning ear-to-ear
Deep thoughts brought to you by Natty Kat
 LOVE.MY.GIRLS
 Taking a ride
Making the climb back up after sliding down, down, down
Even after 4 years of visiting Heiser Pumpkin Patch I still haven't figured out what this is supposed to be? I know the things on the outside are pig bums, right?

The fun is done for another year

Little Miss Grabby

It seems that 1 day before her 3-month celebration, Keely has decided to start grabbing and holding onto things.
An important and noteworthy milestone reminding me that she's growing and changing all-too-quickly!

To our dear Natalie Kathryn

Happy 3rd birthday wild and precious little thing!
Thank you for making us laugh every day.
Thank you for giving us a much-needed lesson on patience every day.
Thank you for loving us with your all every day.
We love the way you don't pronounce your R's and say things like "hungee" (hungry) and "jabbee" (jabber). It's especially precious the way you call Keely "Kiwi" and how you insist on hugging and kissing her every single morning. It's frustrating the way you grab Ashley's hair as you go running by but will then throw yourself at her and squeeze the stuffing right out of her and say "Aww I love you my Tissy".
You're a blessing from God. We love watching you grow and are excited to see the impact you will have on the world.
Please don't ever change.
All our love for ever and ever,
Daddy and Mommy

Caroling Midget

Early this morning I overheard Ashley singing her version of Do You See What I See? It goes a little something like this...
A child, a child, sleeping in the night,
with a tail as big as a kite!
A child, a child,  sleeping in the cold,
He will bring us gold and silver.
Because He is good. He is gooooood.
Because Jesus loves me, this I know.
He is goodness and light!

Yep. That's my Ashley.

Pumpkin picking in Airilie

A sunny (albeit windy!) afternoon picking out some pumpkins to kick off pun'kin season!

Natty Kat wasn't too sure of Mister Gobbler
Zipping down the hay slide
Taking a trip with Nana
Hitching a ride
Natty Kat putting Aunt Shawna to work
Hold on Mini's cause Papa and Aunt Shawna are having a foot race!
Natty Kat in all her beauty
Smiley Midget
Flashing a grin for the camera

Loaded up on our way to the patch

Corn stalks so tall they'd tickle your nose
Posing
"King of the world!"
Funny thing is that when she went in she was on her bottom
Screeching to a hault
Even Papa got in on the fun
Yes that's Nana. And yes she's wearing Keely. And yes she went down the slide.
Made the mistake of letting Natty Kat lead the way through the hay maze
About this time Midget started punking out on us. I thought she was just being a turd but turns out a few hours later she got a random, high fever. Suppose I should have listened to her, huh?
Racing around the track
Age limit? What age limit?
Another trip down the infamous slide
Beautiful fall colors
Papa letting Midget lead the way through the hay maze
Kruzing with Keely
LOVE LOVE LOVE the wheat box
Not sure why she finds this so enjoyable? She does the same thing in the bathtub with a cup of water.
Midget convinced Papa to take a trip with her
Mama and her perfectly precious pumpkins

Kentucky Derby loving on Belmont Stakes

As I worked through pictures from nearly 2 months ago, I had to wonder "Where was Natalie?" I've got an entire folder of pictures from an afternoon of Ashley cuddling and loving on Keely, but not one single one of my little Preakness.
Knowing Natty Kat, she was off in her own little land, doing her own little thing, that only her own little mind understands.

Snuggled in at nap time
Ashley being, well, Ashley
Precious
Yes she is flipping off the camera. No I did not teach her how to do it.
Love my Midget
Keely's poor face; this was taken around the time we figured out her milk protein allergy
There are no words
