This year we were blessed to spend Christmas Eve Eve, Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with Shawna and Jessica. There's something about Christmastime. But there's something even more about Christmastime with family.
When Shawna and Jessica arrived on the 23rd, we put on our aprons, rolled out the dough, whipped up some frosting and got our baking on. I had been waiting all season to make some Christmas cookies, and I know Jessica was excited about baking, too.
But before we got to play Patty Cake, Patty Cake, Baker Man, Ashley got to open her and Natalie's birthday present from Aunt Shawna: the complete first season of Jem and the Holograms on DVD.
Only the cool kids will understand.
It goes without saying we've watched those DVDs more times than I can count.
