Back in November, shortly after I got my new Excursion, time came for Sissie to mail her wedding invitations. Poor fool had to work, so that gave me the opportunity to drive my new whip for a few hours. I loaded up the girls, threw Mom and Dad in for good measure, and made tracks north to Bridal Veil Falls to a special little post office that, because of it's name, hand cancels nearly 100,000 wedding invitations a year. Boy was I surprised when the GPS took me to a tiny 10x10 wood plank building with a lobby barely big enough to hold the 6 of us!
After the invites were off we hopped down the road a few miles and took in the beauty of Multnomah Falls. Hiking the falls had been on my Summer 2012 list of "To Do's", but I had to erase that one once I got pregnant with Keely. I didn't hike the falls on that particular day, but we walked enough to get a few good pictures and let the girls take in the exquisite beauty and spray of the falls. Almost immediately Ashley asked if we could come back this summer when it was warmer (it was a CHILLY November day!) and walk to the top of the falls. A girl after my own heart!
Bridal Veil Falls Post Office. No, I am not kidding!
A mini hike with my minis
Ashley and Natty Kat were so amazed by the falls, getting them to hold still for a picture was impossible
Cruising with Papa
Peak-a-boo my Spunky Girl!
Keely's first hike down in the record books!
Lordy that's pure beauty
We came. We hiked. We ice creamed (well the big minis did anyhow).
That's how we do it!
