Keely's 18 month check

This morning Keely had her 18 month check and I'm floored.....At 18 months our little Q-Ball is still smaller than her sisters were at 15 months.

Jeeze!

KEELY at 18 months:

weight: 20# 8 oz (4%)

length: 31.5'' (14%)

ASH at 15 months:

weight: 27# 2 oz (94%)

length: 33'' (99%)

NATTY KAT at 15 months:

weight: 23 # 2 oz (72%)

length: 31.5'' (76%)

So basically Keely is a giant.....if she were a leprechaun. 

Keely received one shot today and is officially done for 2 years. She gave Nurse Nicole a pretty pitiful and upset face and now has spent the rest of the day pointing to her 'owie' and giving me that same pathetic (yet adorable) face. 

She's right on track for growth, even if it is slow. It's possible we'll see a bit of speech delay for her, and that's completely normal. After all Keely has 2 older sisters that are ready and willing to do all her talking for her. Totally normal, and even expected. To date Keely can say:

Mama

Dada

Tissy (this is what she calls Ash) --- Issy

Natty --- Ah-ee

Dog --- Duh-duh-duh (basically she just gets really excited when she spots a dog and says 'duh' over and over and points excitingly)

Swing --- Ing

Nana 

Papa and Grandpa sound the same --- Bah-puh

So not that large of a vocabulary, but still perfectly normal for someone given her age/situation.

Keely still fits into size 12 month clothing, but some of the pants are getting short. Occasionally I put her in a size 18 month outfit and she swims in it. Lots of cuffed legs and sleeve rolls need to happen. She is wearing a size 4 shoe and a size 3 diaper.

Yeah. She's a bitty.

Yesterday morning she woke up (after an abnormal night of difficulty going to sleep and waking up and screaming a few hours later) with a new tooth popping through; the little guy on the bottom, to her left of her middle tooth. To date that makes 5 teeth, of which not a single one is all the way in. 

Or if they are, they are the smallest teeth I've ever seen.

Keely wins Best Cuddler Award and is quick to give a hug. Ash and Natty sure do love giving her love, but at her age, neither one cared one bit about cuddling. It's nice to have one that's so snuggly. 

Keely's rocking some seriously luscious, golden locks with the same back curls that Natty Kat had. The back of her hair is already half as thick as Natty's hair, so of course I wonder if she'll have a head of hair like Ashley does?

18 months old. Larger than life. Rules the roost. Cheese-ball in front of the camera. Absolute joy. Love you to the last number Keely Q!

Taking a drive in the toy room before her appointment
