After 4 nights and 5 days we were finally handed our walking papers! 
I admit, being in the hospital was almost like a vacation. All I had to do was pick up a telephone and someone would bring me food. I could close my eyes and sleep just about any time I wanted. And I had COMPLETE control of the television remote! It almost makes me want to keep having babies...

Way back in August, back when Keely was still living life on the inside, I took Ashley and Natalie to Philomath for the Shrine Trek PeeWee Rodeo. I wasn't much older than Ashley the first time I competed in the PeeWee rodeo. Not that I want to age myself of anything! It didn't happen this year, but next year she's already planning on competing in the mutton busting competition, one event I never placed in. Let's hope she takes after her Amberger's mad mutton bustin' abilities and wins herself a ribbon. We've got a whole year to work on her strategies and techniques!

We woke up Friday morning hopeful we'd get our pink slip and be sent home, but by noon-time it was obvious we were in for another night.

Gifts galore

Last week I got a surprise visit from my lovely neighbor Gabrielle and with her she brought a box full of presents.

How great is that?

For Keely an adorable dress and blanket.

For the big mini's homemade grape juice, fresh picked apples and baby pumpkins.

And for Daddy and Mama? A bottle of Keeler Estate Vineyard wine (their very first year. Or vintage. Or whatever the wine-know-it-alls call it!).

She also brought a jar of honey from her bee boxes. You can't get more local than that, huh?

Are we spoiled to have such a great neighbor with such a beautiful vineyard? You better believe it!

Same old tune

We nearly made it through the month of October without a doctor's appointment.

But nearly isn't good enough for Natty Kat.

This time around it's not bronchitis, but rather some sort of respiratory infection. The pediatrician wondered if the infection she had back on September 21st ever fully cleared. 10 days of Cefdinir antibiotic should hopefully clear it up.

Siiiiiigh. What are we going to do with you Natty?

Yeah. That's the look of a sick kiddo. Thanks for making me look like a hypochondriac, Natalie.
