This afternoon the girls' pediatrician called to check up on Natalie. When I mentioned I didn't think she was getting any better and in fact seemed worse, he asked me to bring her in at 5 pm for a white blood count and nasal swab.
Oh joy.
Diagnosis?
Asthma with RSV thrown in for good measure.
No wonder she hasn't responded to either of the major antibiotics she's been on for the last 2 weeks!
I walked out of the office with a brand-new nebulizer, powder Singular for her bottle, RX for neb meds and a new spacer/mask for Ashley (the one we have it getting used and abused).
At this point I'm thankful for 2 things: thank goodness for our new insurance as we've had 8 doctor's visits in 7 weeks and at a $25 copay per visit under our old plan, that would have broke the bank!! Second I'm thankful for an answer and am hoping and praying that her new meds will kick this and get her on the road to recovery.
